Highly-Nutritious Ingredients

Each foundational ingredient in Karma Clusters was chosen for its unique qualities - take a look:

Coconut is rich in manganese that supports enzyme function & fat metabolism, and copper aids bone formation & heart health. The saturated fat found in coconut oil can boost fat burning and provide your body and brain with quick energy. The medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) in coconut oil are absorbed in your small intestine & used by your body to produce energy. Ok! So far, so good.

Chia Seeds are tiny black seeds from the plant Salvia Hispanic and pack a powerful nutritional punch. Full of Omega-3s, Fibre, Calcium, Manganese, Magnesium, Phosphorus, and a decent amount of Zinc, Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Potassium, Vitamin B1 (Thiamine), and Vitamin B2.

Chia Seeds are rich in Omega-3, as in The Richest plant-source of this healthy oil. By weight, chia contains more Omega-3 than some fish, making it healthy for your heart and cholesterol levels. Chia Seeds also balance your blood sugar. This is incredibly important if you want to maintain good energy levels during the day. Here’s why: if you eat a meal with high-starches or sweets, then your body will respond by spiking its sugar levels in your blood which will lead to feeling sluggish. You know, that, oh I could use a nap moment after lunch? Well, if you’re eating foods that promote that feeling, you’re also putting yourself at risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes, and I know you don’t want that.

So, Chia Seeds are able to balance your blood sugar due to its combination of insoluble and soluble fibres which slow down the body’s conversion of starches into sugars. The gelling action of the Chia Seeds also creates a feeling of fullness in the belly, which can also help with weight loss. And, while all this goodness is going on, Chia Seeds also provide steady energy rather than highs and lows.

Can you say, Win Win?

Cacao Nibs are rich in many minerals, including Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Zinc, Manganese, and Copper.

Magnesium is a mineral needed for over 300 different enzyme reactions in your body, but is lacking in many people’s diets.

Phosphorus, Magnesium, and Manganese are vital for healthy bones, while Copper and Iron are needed for producing red blood cells that supply oxygen to your body. Wow! Who knew?

Brown Rice Syrup contains three sugars—Maltotriose (52%), Maltose (45%), and Glucose (3%). Because Maltose is just two Glucose molecules and Maltotriose is three Glucose molecules, brown rice syrup acts like 100% Glucose inside your body.

What does that mean? It means Glucose can be metabolized by every cell in your body, which is converted to energy. WooHoo!

Naturally gluten-free, tapioca flour can be used in a variety of ways. While it doesn't have much nutritional value, it has tremendous value as a binding agent and a gluten-free substitute. Key to keeping your snack intact!!
